Craig P on 30 Jan 2023 asked "Hi, do you offer a conrod/big end repair service on this crankshaft?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes we do con rod overhauls on these cranks

Justin H on 10 Aug 2019 asked "Hi, I'm buying up the parts to build an RT 195 engine. What benefit is there to using the 60/110 crank over the standard 58/107?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: It should produce more power, but you have to set the port timings so its a bit more complicated. 58mm is a straight fit and it is easy to set up

Shane on 25 Dec 2018 asked "Hi Mark, Does the crankcase mouth need modification for the new type rod compared too the old yam rod. Regards Shane"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: No mods required the rod has been machined down

Gary on 08 Jan 2018 asked "hi i want to use this crank with a Ts1-225 & to keep as std port timings. what size cylinder packer is needed please? "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Port timings will alter with the longer stroke crankshaft. Packers depend on where you want the port timings and depends on the height of the casing. Usually we use 1.5 - 3mm packers

Kev E on 19 Dec 2017 asked "I run BGM cranks in both my TS1s. Just about to build a standard RB250 2016 mono port and plan to use BGM 60/110 crank , will it handle the increased power. "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes should be fine

Christian on 24 Aug 2016 asked "Planning on doing a race tour kit with this crank. Could I substitute the two 3mm shims that come with this crank for two other sizes for a 200 case and if so how would I go about that? Thank you, Christian"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes you could phone the shop to organise it

Christian on 16 Aug 2016 asked "What size packingplat3s come with this crank? Thanks."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: 3mm small and large block

Matt D on 15 Jan 2016 asked "Hi, Can you please tell me if this crank will fit without the big end catching the casings ?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes it should do on most casings, I've not come across one that needs altering but have been told some casings do need altering

Matt on 08 Jan 2016 asked "Hi, can you please tell me if the cases need modifying to avoid the big end catching with this crank? "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: I've never had to modify a casing using them, but have heard one person doing it

N.brenner on 15 Jul 2015 asked "When you build up the bgm crank the standard small end bearing 20 m/m width into the conrod the needle roller ends show each side of the conrod eye! is this to have needle rollers the full width of the small-end eye or for lubrication straight into the open end of the bearing? it just looks alittle strange "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: This is how Yamaha do them, used them for 30 years with no issues. Will be fine.

Peter M on 23 Jan 2015 asked "What is the purpose of the shims that come with the crankshaft?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: In case the drive plate is high and crank rubs on the plate. Or just fit the MB drive plate and have done with it

Paul d on 30 May 2013 asked "hi are the bearing shims and magneto gaskets available seperately?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Yes all in the web shop

Mike M on 02 Jun 2012 asked "I bought this crank from jet 200 here in the states. they lost the instructions wondering if you had a copy of them. you could scan and email to me. if not cheers"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Look here http://www.lambrettaspares.com/info/lambretta-setting-up-instructions-/bgm-product-fitting-instructions+155.html
